Deck Without Handrails

The clients requested remedial works to an existing deck over the Derwent, approx 6m above actual water line and having absolute waterfront views.

During investigations it was discovered the existing structure was defective and required replacing. In conjunction with Drew Edwards from BYA architects, this new deck was built, with stunning cantilevered engineered glass, eliminating handrails and improving visual amenity.

Obviously, a stunning result of the highest quality.

Cygnet Town Hall

2 x award winning project

The work of Access Property to integrate a contemporary lift into the heart of an existing heritage building with finesse and sensitivity is a credit to them.

Extensive efforts have been taken to match, restore and recreate the heritage fabric, and this close attention to detail makes this project a fine demonstration of their specialist construction, vertical transportation and project management skills.

Project delivery within a working community facility has been achieved with minimum disruption whilst maintaining strong client support. This speaks volumes about the proactive and positive way that Access Property go about their work.

  • Reinstating heritage listed pressed metal ceilings, curved brick work and maintaining timber flooring in its mint condition were all achieved.
  • Suspended concrete slab to support lift pit, in a period style building experiencing significant ground water issues was challenging but overcome.

Geeveston Town Hall

  • A heritage building that required site specific detailing and deemed to satisfy requirements due to non compliant circulation spaces.
  • The architects needed to assist with specialist details and multiple site measurements to ensure ultimate success, plus invest in researching possible solutions for very difficult code requirements.
  • APD led the project from start to finish and were intimately involved in all elements from concept to completion.

Tasman Hotel Fitout

  • Polished and stained timber surfaces required high levels of care due to potential site damage until client handover was achieved, apart from completing the works during major works being undertaken alongside our works.
  • Dust, noise and similar issues were constant constraints that needed to be overcome.

Wrest Point Fitout

award winning project

Access Property presented their recent 19-floor lift installation project at Wrest Point Hotel in particular for this award entry and as an exemplar of their lift solution product supply, including innovation and practical project outcomes.

Access Property provide excellent value for money for their product, focusing on delivering quality Tasmanian service.

  • Polished brass mirrors with liquorice twist corners made this a very challenging fit-out, as well as site access being extremely difficult due to the 24 hour use we needed to work around.
  • Lack of lighting detail required localised customising, which we provided and resolved to the clients satisfaction.

Peel St Launceston

  • A very steep site requiring an 8m bridge built from the car parking area towards the house centre, enabling the lift installation to proceed.
  • All design and approvals were managed by Access Properties, as well as on site construction.
  • The vertical drop from top to bottom was nearly 7m.
  • All internal alterations and repairs were undertaken to facilitate this end result.

  • Excavating by hand into dripping wet foundations.
